  I don't doubt that it is irritating owning a pub by a station wrt parking. However, it does not excuse rudeness especially at this time of the year. The fact that I wasn't even parking there but turning around AND it's Christmas made the experience even more unpleasant. I was going to call in whilst picking my daughter up this afternoon - but too bad landlord, you just cost yourself passing trade.

  Jessica Irving from Bristol. You must have been at the back of the queue when humor was given out. The only person/people being sexists is you and your group. Regulars and others patrons who use the pub, INCLUDING rail users have no problem whatsoever with anything that goes on in the pub. The landlord keeps a tight rein on the conduct of the patrons and does ban people who step out of line. Anyone and everyone who enters the pub is made to feel welcome, irrespective of race, colour or creed. You will not find a better atmosphere in a pub than here. It is a family pub where children are allowed in. The food in the pub is excellent. The bar staff are second to none with great personalities and very friendly, especially towards new customers. Everyone gels in there.
  My advice to you, DON'T KNOCK IT 'TIL YOU'VE TRIED IT. Yes, it's a great pub, great atmosphere, great food, and great entertainment. It is above all, a non sexist pub as you would have everyone believe.

  I was stopping in here on the way home by train when I came across a metal sign actually nailed to the door stating - 'Men: No Shirts No Service. Women: No Shirts Free Drinks'. It made me and my friends feel deeply uncomfortable - it's completely unnecessary sexism that holds women in contempt and signals to men that it's still ok to make women feel uncomfortable based on their gender. I'm gobsmacked that this even still exists anywhere - it would be totally unheard of back in Bristol.
