  Improved. Had the lunchtime deal - good value. Fish appeared fresh (not frozen) with no skin. Turfed out of one table by staff saying it was reserved. Never enough bar staff for busy pub

  The lunch menu was very reasonably priced and tasted good. We ate outside next to the canal which was a very nice experience. My companions food was a little cold when it came out which is what prevents a 5 star review.

  Good traditional pub. But book if you want waiter service table. We got great meat with soggy sweetcorn. Noone asked how the meal was.

  Complete lack of attention.
  Went for lunch with a friend and one year old son and asked at time of ordering food for garlic bread without cheese to come out asap to keep little one happy, then the kids meal as and when it was ready, don't worry about it all coming together.
  First thing that arrived was the kids meal with added fly. Now this wasn't a recently added fly, this was a had been put under the grill and crisped up fly, but they tried to blame it on the fact we were sat outside.
  When they returned I was disappointed to see they had just scooped out the side where the fly had been and given back to my child. I was also given a portion of cheesy garlic bread...
  I said I didn't order it with cheese and actually I only ordered it to come first to keep the boy happy so you might as well just take it back and take it off the bill, I now don't need it.
  2 minutes later a fresh non cheesy garlic bread comes to the table. I gave up.
  There is no attention paid at all from listening to the customers order to checking food before it's sent out. I'm so disappointed as the place itself is lovely, right by he canal and I was very much looking forward to a nice afternoon spent here. But that ruined it for us.

  Inside very nice. Outside scruffy but nice by the canal. Good usually good but last visit food very average.
